About two years ago, I wanted to expand my crafting skills from the computer, as I was doing a lot of digital design. But I had a new obsession: fabric. I needed a way to use all this fabric that I was wanting to buy.
As luck had it, our neck pillows gave out and I needed to get some new ones. I couldn’t find anything that I liked, so I decided to do some research and make my own. Turns out buckwheat seeds and flax seeds are a fabulous combination for the pillow, and when fragranced with essential oils, it’s a lovely combination to help ease muscle pain or headaches. I made a couple for friends and family, and had requests to make more. Aside from the Aromatherapy and Eye Pillows that I love so much, I have also branched out to some beading with the ribbon bookmarks, made some napkins for my son’s lunchbox (the Lunch Box Napkins), and am addicted to the solid lotion bars. I keep one on my kitchen counter for every time I do dishes. I use it every night before I leave the kitchen. It also works wonderful as a lip balm to help heal chapped lips.
I also took a nosedive headfirst into the Land of Quilting. Ahhh the love of sewing straight lines of several tiny little pieces. Or now, the curved line for some modern quilts. Follow along with my many, many quilting projects, home projects, kid crafts and more!
I am always searching out and trying new methods, new ways to complete something, a new intriguing design. If you’re looking for something specific please let me know, I would love to work with you to create something special!
