Look at these guys!! It was like a Gnomie explosion on my machine last weekend – Felties, Finger Puppets, Ornaments – aren’t they cute?!

My list is very long for what I am working on right now, and I keep bouncing from one thing to another. If you have an idea or a special request let me know! Follow me on Instagram or Facebook for the latest – I also update the Shows I will be at so you can come see things in person! I can’t believe Halloween is so close – gotta get back to work!

Find all the Halloween Gnomies in the Halloween Sections in the Studio or on Etsy Halloween, Etsy Puppets/Toppers/Felties.

‘Tis the Season… to Prepare for the Seasons

It’s in the 90s and I am working with Fleece. Planning for the Holidays starts months in advance – I did some already but I’m really getting into the hardcore prep now, with 3 shows coming up – they will be here so fast I’m sure!

So this weekend I’ve been working on some Halloween, and some Christmas. And earlier this week I did some True Crime – and Tacos. All are now listed at the Studio and select items on Etsy.

I am so ready for Back to School. Snuck some fun School felties in here too! The Felties shown below are all Vinyl on the front and Felt on the back, and all around the 1.75inch-ish size.

As always leave a comment and let me know if there is anything you are looking for. I’m really getting into Halloween and Elfwear with my Elf Emporium – so now is the time to ask!

Have a Safe and Happy Week!

New Finger Puppet Sets + Mint Tin Play Sets

So I have found a new love of creating Finger Puppet Sets. I know kids {of all ages} love to play with them, but they are also cute just sitting there on your desk – brightens your day! There are so many designs out there right now – with favorite series, holiday, even super mini play tins! I have 4 sets that I finished recently. You can see all available sets in the Finger Puppets section – and many more are on their way!

Thanks for stopping by – I hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day weekend – wherever you are in the world. And stay safe!

Supernatural Wit Halloween Wall Art

I finished up the first new set of Halloween Art this weekend: Supernatural Wit Halloween Hoops. Each piece is brightly colored on a dark background with a sassy phrase – what better way to get you prepared and in the proper mood for October?

I may have a plan to bring in a set of these to my day job and hang one outside of everyone’s door. I don’t know what will be left for me and my door, but I have an idea of where “Resting Witch Face” and “Watch Out I Bite” will end up. LOL – there is a lot of love in our office, and we all love the holidays. Looking forward to the First Day of Fall and all things festive through the end of the year!

Which reminds me: A couple of years ago I was driving through town and looking for my destination and I turned the corner, saw a sign, and started laughing so hard. I told my husband to take a picture for me but he was too slow. The sign in question was an Auto Shop. The sign: “THEY’RE BACK! PUMPKIN SPICE OIL CHANGES!” Best Pumpkin Spice Sign Ever. I still love it.

New Items 09.17.19

It is September! I am searching for the cool crisp autumn days and just not finding them. For the past few days it has said “Feels like 95” for my area, one time all the way up to 97! I have a feeling I will be wishing for these days again in a few months, but for now the humidity is killing me.

I just wanted to share some new things I created recently. I finally took the plunge and tried out lace designs with some new embroidery thread and I’m so glad I did! It might be a new obsession.

First I tried this Nevermore Bookmark. This is the Battenburg Lace technique which required a thicker thread and is cotton instead of the rayon polyester standard Madeira thread that I use. There were a few quirks that I figured out along the way, and when I had a request to make a second one it was much smoother.

After the Nevermore Bookmark, I wanted to try the Autumn Leaves I have been eyeing, along with the butterflies, dragonflies, etc. So I made my first Autumn Maple Leaf: Large. And then a Medium. And then a Small. And I love them!

And Birch Leaves:

Saturday morning I decided to make some coasters with these Autumn Leaves patterns. I think I might need to make us a set too:

And I finished some Hoop Art, including the next 4 months of Monthly Girls, and just look at this Painted Lion!

And I recently finished two Halloween quilts and posted them on Etsy. I made my son the Too Cute to Spook quilt and I loved it so much I made another one. And the jelly roll Monster Bash has matching fabric for the Backing and Binding. The Too Cute to Spook White/Purple quilt has matching Binding, but a Black Sparkle Fleece for the back – nice and soft! Here are a couple photos of the quilts: Child not included.

Mummy Votive Jars

A couple of weeks ago I started doing some holiday crafts with my 4-year old, and this was our first project. It took longer to shop for the supplies than it did to create these Mummy Votive jars!

Only 5 items are needed to create these cute votive jars:

  1. Mason Jar
  2. Cheesecloth
  3. Googly Eyes
  4. Hot Glue
  5. Glue Gun

The cheesecloth package that I had was enough to create two jars, and the googly eyes were sold in packs of 2 sets so I was all set.

I divided the cheesecloth strips in half, wrapped them around the mason jar a few times, then tucked the ends in to keep them in place, then I hot glued on the googly eyes. That’s it! I added a scented votive candle to the inside of the jar to not only light up the creation on the mantle on Halloween, but also make my living room smell pretty.

You could make all different types of these in different sizes – very quick and inexpensive.
